Dad’s Bday Lunch at Imperial Treasure

On the second day of Lunar New year, we went to Sentosa Flowers in the morning and celebrate Dad’s birthday at ONE°15 Marina Club, Imperial Treasure. It was a relaxing luxury club on seeing all the yachts. As I was thinking of why it was named as ONE°15, I found out from its website- One degree and 15 minutes north of the equator lies ONE°15 Marina Club.

The Imperial Treasure also served vegetarin dishes and majority of the food were delicious.

Very fresh fish. Delicious!

Last dish, honey glazed chicken.

Dessert highly recommended by service staff. Something Apple jelly.. cant remember.. Its refreshing.

Lunar New Year Reunion Lunch

Happy CNY!! Days before the new year, I was busy with groceries shopping after work. Bought a few items like frozen ready food and seafood for our reunion lunch.

Desserts at Laurent Cafe & Chocolate Bar

After our dinner, we planned to have desserts and ZW suggested Laurent Cafe & Chocolate Bar, which is also known for Laurent Bernard Chocolatier. I like the menu, having interesting info for customers to read.

I have ordered the Chocolate Tart when waffle was not available. Heavenly Choco-lious with hazelnut fellutine, ganache and sweet paste base

ZW’s After8 Souffle. There’s a saying about Souffle, ” Even the King has to wait”. You have to wait for 30mins for the pastry chef to prepare and bake on the spot. I had made souffle years ago and it’s only food tasting for me, not finishing it. I don’t fancy souffle and yesterday I have ate a few mouths to taste the After 8 and the texture. Mixing with the melted chocolate or ganache also helps to cover the eggy taste of souffle.

Rachel’s Creme Brulee. Nice milky taste, one of the desserts I like.

Dinner at Bar Bar Black Sheep

Happy New Year!!! First dinner of year 2012 with Rachel and ZW. They were searching for dining place and called me if I want to go Bar Bar Black Sheep. It was located at Robertson Quay, nice relaxing ambience where you could see residence apartments and people bring their dogs around. Our food were delicious and we will be back again. Besides western food, they also serve thai and indian food.

New Year Eve Dinner at Hooters

On the last day of the year, I was with Lady Bren, Iris, JK and Giselle. For the past 3 weeks of December, we had been meeting on every saturday We had been discussing on where to dine and celebrate.. it was really headache as we have budget too. We decided to go Clarke Quay and Lady Bren helped to make reservation at Hooters. Hooters is well known for the hot babes servers, they wore bunny head band on that day. The food are affordable but just edible.. not that fantastic. Furthermore, the service is below satisfactory..We felt they were ”chasing” us out by asking us a few times if we have additional order and finally we left after dessert and drinks.

Buttered garlic sole fish. Iris, Giselle and me had the same main course. The corn taste wierd.. curly fries was not fried to golden brown.. Disappointing.. Salad was served generously that Lady Iris said I’m Clovi’s friend. LOL. Yes, Clovi is our family white rabbit.

Brownie ala mode. I like it as its chocolatey but Bren said it’s more like a cake than brownie. Well, already a disappointment for my dinner.. so don’t expect too much. Just fill our stomach as we were very hungry.

Xmas Day at Town restaurant, Fullerton Hotel

As this song goes “Have yourself a little Merry Xmas~” I felt blessed that I had a great xmas feast! As there is nothing much to do on Xmas in Singapore.. No snow ski.. no winter fun.. the only thing we could do is to enjoy eating. Due to last year experience that Yunling and me couldn’t find any buffet dinner as most of the restaurants in hotels were fully booked. This year we planned to “research” earlier and made our reservation once the dining reservation reverted with the Xmas menu.

The Fullerton hotel was filled with magical christmas atmosphere; nicely decorated with christmas ornaments and christmas tree with teddy bears. I was quite surprised to see many caucasians dining at Town restaurant and I think it was really a great place like no other. The Fullerton hotel was built in 1928 and served as General Post Office. Retaining its exterior colonial/ classical style building, it was transformed into a luxury hotel, completed in 2000. Loving it~ The best turkey I have ever ate! Tender and juicy.. with cranberry sauce..It’s just heavenly..

Town restuarant has a wide international food spread. The roast duck and shrimp siew mai were delicious. There were sushi, pasta and pizzas too but I couldn’t try all of them..I wish I can too.

Nice Laska, I have to stop myself from finishing the laska soup.. I need to reserve space for other food.

Love the lobster!! The chef has unshelled and served it to me. While the crab was a little salty.

My favorite, desserts!! The cake with chestnut cream and praline macaroon were really awesome! While others were mousses and fresh cream.

Pastries & desserts buffet presentation is the most attractive of all and it also bring up the christmas atmosphere and joy!

Merry Xmas to all chefs at live stations and Pastry chefs who have made an attractive desserts buffet presentation.

Xmas Eve at Timbre, Old School

I have spent my xmas eve this year with my Uni friends, Ladies Brenda and Iris. We climbed the long stairs to reach Old School. Good workout before dinner, isn’t it? Haha. As I had been to Timbre, I told them the peking duck pizza is the signature pizza. As Iris can’t eat seafood or spicy food so we ordered the duck pizza, Caesar Salad and Timbre chicken wings.

Tim Sum & Seafood Buffet at Tunglok, East Coast Park

It has been pretty long since I last blogged! A week before Xmas, I had buffet lunch with my secondary school friends time to catch up and have an early xmas celebration. We have decided to eat at Tunglok East Coast because it’s the only outlet serving sharkfin soup :) Though price is slightly higher than other outlets but it was really worth it. Thanks Hogan for recommending and making reservation. As usual.. our fellow friends are late comers.. I took pictures of our food and send via whatsapp, telling them to fly over. We had eaten more than that from my below photos.

Goldilocks Bake Shop in Manila

Goldilocks, a famous bake shop found at Robinsons mall near my hotel. I have bought the signature brownies and two boxes of Polvoron. On my last day in Manila, I spend all my piso by getting others cakes and muffins. I think the brownie is still the best and fortunately I bought enough for my family and friends whom I will be meeting after my trip as the brownies have about 1 week shelf life.

This was designed by Lady Bren and was posted on my FB haha.. She is one of my friends who I have been whatsapping during my trip. I have bought the brownies for my B.I.G.X groupmates/Uni friends whom we went through thick and thin together.

The Polvorons are nice and suitable for vegetarins (without eggs), hence they are reserved for my family.
